Piano Time!

Teaching piano is so much fun. I have taught beginning piano lessons for grades K-8 in Cambridge and Everett, MA. When I teach piano, I find it necessary to go over the basics such as note names of the keys, but in small groups I can also focus on physical development of fine motor skills. I also try to aim my teaching towards student interest, often taking requests from them and writing out simple notes to the melodies of their favorite songs - from classical and pop to rap instrumentals. If you have a request, I can generally give you the bare bones! Also, I find that once you have student interest, that is an easier bridge to learning skills such as how to read music and/or music theory.
